Spend one or more days learning about Venetian cuisine! Our goal is to offer you a comprehensive experience of local eno-gastronomical traditions and lifestyle by interacting with an expert cook and, for groups, a certified Sommelier who will help you understand why, centuries after its creation, some dishes are still so popular.
In addition to an overall introduction, our expert cook will prepare the dishes in the well-equipped kitchen of a private apartment, Sara will entertain you by analyzing the intriguing fragrances, the exotic origins of some ingredients, the cooking processes and will answer your questions about the products being used.Classes are held in a Palazzo apartment in Venice, close to the Rialto food market, or in a Liberty Villa at the Lido beach, a fascinating bathing resort with tall trees and gardens traversed by several canals.
Among the many specialities, you will have the opportunity to taste the “Corn meal with boiled baby Shrimps seasoned with Italian dressing” as a starter or “Homemade fresh Noodles with Basil Pesto and Scampi” for first course. You will continue with “Baked stuffed Calamari with Artichoke bottoms”, and end up with "Homemade Fiordilatte Ice Cream” or “Corn meal Cookies for dessert”! Dishes are based on recipes that you can make at home.The irresistible lunch, prepared in front of your eyes, will be served in the large dining room of this authentic Venetian home. A memorable day in Venice, indeed never to be forgotten!
NEW!! Instead of a set menu, we can arrange a class based on the fresh ingredients available at the market. In the ealy morning we will go to the Rialto and buy what we need for a seasonal meal, go back home and prepare the dishes! It will be an adventurous, and for sure a genuine experience! A minimum of six participants is required.

Shared Cooking Classes
This option is designed for small groups of people, who are eager to experience Venetian cuisine in a familiar setting. Menus are based on the basic principles of both Venetian and Italian Food - simplicity, freshness, tradition, regionality and excellent raw material - which in our opinion are rarely duplicated outside Italy.
The hands-on class is held by our expert Maria Genovina in a private apartment near the Grand Canal, far from the mad crowd of the city centre. From the dining room you can walk up to a cute roof terrace full of flowers, where you will be offered an aperitif, weather permitting!
Among the seasonal dishes, you will taste the “Deep fry Zucchini flowers with Mozzarella” as a starter, followed by “Homemade Tagliatelle with fresh Tomatoes, hot Pepper and sweet Bacon sauce" and the “Baked Sea Bass with Potatoes”, to end up with a delicious “Fresh Fruit Tiramisu”. The class lasts four hours, lunch included, and costs 100 E per person for a minimum of 3 participants.
